That is weird. He would have known that before last season started...

That may be true in some cases, but how often do they lose their incentive to develop further once they get their money, free education, etc... How many of these OLinemen at UT are going to get there and then just go through the process while they collect their money? On the flip side, those that are more incentivized by winning, NFL, and their career might treat their college career differently. 

If BV and Lebby have the kind of Fall we are all expecting, then I believe we will see a huge upturn in the trench players OU needs, on both sides of the ball for 23 and even better for 24.   In addition, we that time for Schmitty and the coaches to get OU ready for the SEC.   Going to the SEC with LR would have made recruiting even more of a challenge than it was.   Ikard spoke about that he felt coaches like BB may have been handicaped in that the O that LR wanted to run was more 7v7 like and did not best prepare the OL for going to the NFL.  If opposing teams were using that against OU, like Ikard indicated, then hopefully that is fixed  

BV and the current OU staff are not for everyone.  But saying that, there are more than enough kids, from every economic strata, that want the relational coach/athlete/support team that OU is building and can realize that if they are not developed as a player and as a person then what they make in college may be their high point.   There will be enough young men who buy into BV and the other coaches to build a team that can compete with anyone 


For all the handwringing of the NIL pearl clutchers, yes OU is behind.   But, if you only look back and just can't see what is changing at a phenominal pace then you are destined to be a whinner.   The NIL pearl clutchers are totally missing what Mr. Turnipseed and his team can and will do.  But it takes a little time to change processes and change culture.  BV knows how to take what he has learned and create a group that has a clear plan.

I agree that the future is bright and the path is clear.   As far as the other site, the whinning pearl clutchers just wear me out repeating their same whines over and again.     


 

GOLF WHAT TIME IS IT?

This is my hope. All or most of these paid players will take their cash and lay down on the job.

Wease and Mims will do the heavy lifting in 2022. Both won't get 30 reps a game again, they'll at least get 50+ like they should. Then you have guys like Stoops, Jahil, Jackson, Darby, who will get plenty of opportunities in the slot. You'll primarily see 3 WR sets, but those 4 WR sets will obviously be used. 

I'd almost bet Farooq does more than Wease.

McCuiston brings up a good point on their latest podcast about aggie. They have had a top 6 class the last three years and lost 4 games this last year. Them having a number 1 class isn't all of a sudden going to bring them a NC.

Yep, making money off of their name, image and likeness just like a professional player would with endorsements and personal ventures.

Man, we are going to add him to the list of wasted talent at OU....
