While I doubt the younger people would like it or understand it as they should, some reference to Bud Wilkinson is far more fitting than a silly alliteration or the huge dollar donation name.
Bud's Bowl (if alliteration is mandatory)
Bud's Palace
or just - The Bud.
If one NEEDS TO bring in more great coaches, go with ~ the 4-B bowl.
I do FULLY AGREE that Palace on the prairie is silly, stupid, and even demeaning. Toby Rowland fits as the spokesperson for such a place....not for Sooner Football!

Personally, I prefer what we called it when I was a student there...Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, or just "Memorial Stadium." I appreciate the Gaylord family's many gifts to OU and have no problem with putting their name on it after the size of the gift they gave. I just don't like the name "Gaylord." I keep waiting to see one of the Fockers jump out of the woodwork when I that name. Too bad the Gaylords didn't have a last name like Harrison or Barton or even Noble.

he likes to wax poetic with his pre-conceived catch phrases at the ready on post-it notes... fancies himself as a bob costas disciple but is totally unaware of just how bad the(ir) forced delivery sounds
i think that any time a new head FB coach is named, they get to pick the play-by-play guy
