If the reports are true of USC and UCLA going to the Big-10, realignment is upon us. There are also reports that the Big-10 isn't through.
That means all of the Other Three (PAC, Big-12, and ACC) have to be worried about having teams poached by the SEC and Big-10 as they move toward being super conferences (probably with 20 teams). Each of the Other Three will have to shore up their position or risk losing what valuable teams they have left.
I don't see a scenario where all three survive. It's seems to me that the most logical scenario is for the ACC and Pac to carve up the Big-12 with both taking the teams that make the most geographic and financial sense.
The Big-12 is going to have to be proactive or they won't exist.
Fortunately for us, we already have our seat on the train. It will be interesting to see what happens from here.
