While I believe DG has left points on the field due to poor reads/over throws, I also believe the REFs cut at least 11 points off of OU's total at Cinn. NO PI in the end zone, two phantom holds stopped OU for 3 points rather than 14.
DG fumble and over throw worth 10 to 14 additional.
First road game. Cinn prepped for the game since spring. OL interior still shifting personnel. AND those refs.
ISU is not as great on D as made out to be. Okie lite with NO QB still managed 27 at ISU. Have to figure the young ISU QB playing before his first large, hostile crowd (away lost at Ohio had 22,000 fans) will be prone to jitters, errors, happy feet, and difficulty calling the plays.

My guess is that BV really HATES the waste of time giving non-answers at press conferences. He'd rather not risk the other two giving away something, or worse, starting a controversy. With the either banal questions or non-football sneaky questions, who could blame him.
think maybe lebby was "asked" to focus on fixing the run game or some such??
I like this move. I know it can be perceived as “BV hates the media”, but I’ma fan of less time in front of the press and more time with X’s & O’s, not to mention the mental energy of thinking through how you’re gonna answer yet another annoying question. Do we want answers about the running game? Absolutely. But maybe if Lebby’s not doing as many press conferences, the product on the field can do the talking. Hopefully.
Was looking at the end of the Notre Dame vs Ohio State game again, where ND is short a player on D for the final two plays. Yeah, the coaches screwed up by not noticing, but who was the player who came off without being replaced? Who were the players who could have replaced him that weren't paying attention or just didn't want to go out on the field in that situation? So many players make noise about not getting enough playing time. Seems like ND might NEED to have one of the managers keep a count of the players on the field, since neither the coaches nor players pay attention.

A little rant--It's amazing on youtube last week how many were taking about Cincy being the best team OU has faced and will really be a challenge for OU, especially the defense. Now this week, the comments are how Cincy wasn't really as good as most people thought. Maybe our defense was better than they thought.
