It looked like Dart was going to commit any day now but now silence?Β Has that ship sailed?Β
Last i heard was his gf posted on IG that he was an ole miss lock But you can never really tell with these kids. They change their mind about every 30 minutes now days
What i hate are when kids do a visit then beg the fanbase to get them to 10k before they ever commit, just to pump up that NIL
Would love him to come to OU, but he probably gets the keys handed to him immediately at Ole Miss, but thereβs no comparison between the two programs so who knows.
I would assume so. I think with Evers and the 2023 kid and DG having 2 years left we are in good shape. Although not for 2022 if injuries happen.
EXACTLY! Very little chance anyone else wins the QB job this year. Only path to start is an injury to DG. If DG goes pro, full-on competition next year...which some guys do not seem to want.
I still hope we get Dart. Evers may not be ready after one year.
Me too and if we do it will be a bonus for sure.
Agreed - I was REALLY hoping we could get Dart. I guess I would just really like to know that if Dillon has to go out for any reason we have a super capable backup. I'm not sure Nick Evers can't fill that role (he may be a quick learning phenom) but really was hoping we could redshirt him.
I remember the TCU game when Baker got an apparent concussion (2017 I believe) and had to go out and Trevor Knight went in and I literally felt the game slipping away. Fortunately we pulled it out - I think that was the intercepted 2 point conversion game maybe? Anyway, just want to know we have a guy that can hold serve. Also will really help having a stout defense, but can we really expect that next year? I think improvement will be there for sure - just want solid offense incase the D takes a little time.

I think the defense will be improved just because of coaching, but I donβt think it will be great by any stretch. Weβre still going to NEED the offense to score a lot and I think we NEED a backup with experience. I can see where Dart might pick somewhere else for playing time, but great ones arenβt afraid of competition.
