Bowlsby seemed to take us leaving personally. As long as he was in charge, he would likely be a hinderance to anything we tried to do. How do you think him leaving will affect OU and Texsa's negotiations to leave for the SEC.

I think he's gonna screw it up. I think he'll want Houston and Cincy in early...which will provide OU/Texsa a way out early.

EDIT: I am apparently a moron. Didn't realize Bowlsby had left as I hadn't seen the story. Yikes. LOL

Impact on texsa = I DON'T GIVE A RAT TURD.

Impact on Oklahoma Sooners = None. When you have matriculated to college, the impact of your 6th grade teacher leaving your former grade school is of zero concern.

Fired, I think. Made some interesting moves, but should have done some of those before. But letting the 2 drivers of the conference go? Yeah, I think that sealed his fate.

I don't think that will change the timeline any. We locked ourselves into a bad deal and whoever the new Big 12 commissioner is, they won't have any incentive to let the 2 biggest tv draws and money makers leave early without maximum penalty. They aren't going to be in a hurry to get rid of OU and texsa so they can bring in Cincinnati and BYU early.
