Agree. That game and the 2000 Nebraska game were the most engaged. The location where we had season tickets for a few decades, before moving out to AZ, the people who came in from the far western Oklahoma and those from Missouri were like us and came early, stayed until the end of the game. A lot of the tickets around us were corporate tickets and they gave them to employees, friends and family. The local people were more often coming late and leaving early, while often showing very little real interest in the games.
It may take a while for the OKC locals to not treat it similar to going to the state fair, where they are there for the hot dogs, cokes and experience while not being really involved.

I think if these teams join next year it means OU will also be on the SEC. I don’t see how the Big 12 can bring in 4 new teams without the approval of OU and UT and also force them to stay, I think a deal has been worked out.
