Scholarships mean nothing any more if they don't get a handle on this NIL thing. Boosters will just pay for school and give them money on top of it to come to school there.

i don't think they're crying the loudest- they're rightfully concerned as to how to prevent this from spinning out of control and ruining CFB for good- IMO, every conference should be involved in these talks

Funny thing is, that of all the things the fed is involved in that they shouldn't be, this is one they could rightfully regulate since it's interstate commerce. I suspect that the SEC's concern is that every state has different rules and that opens the door for an unregulated mess. It's also the Fed that opened the door with the SCOTUS ruling.
NCAA added to their own problems with NIL and transfers with the 1-transfer without sitting rule. It should not take much prognostication to see that NIL payments and immediate playing is free agency in college. Regulating NIL will be simpler with the 1-year wait reinstated.

The NCAA didn't have a choice with NIL. SCOTUS spanked them and they have no idea how to regulate it without running foul of the law. The transfer issue however is something they created.
Anybody think with the ESPN deal and the b12 allowing the newbies in next year will mean we are leaving at that time...I know the ESPN deal is the coming season but it all seems to that outcome with this media rights deal ...that could also be JoeC's lock emoji as well
