OU deal with ESPN+

I'm not sure that's true. Since ESPN would have these rights when we move to the SEC this could simply be a matter of our old contract with Bally being up. Going ahead and moving to ESPN in that situation makes it easier to transition when we do go and lets us not show our cards by not forcing us to sign a contract with another vendor for a length equivalent to when we expect to leave.

Multi-year deal can easily mean 2022 and 2023.  A deal with e-s-pee-in will also be easy to renegotiate WHEN the sec move comes.  This contract helps OU and the evil-mouse prepare for the move.  LHN is already part of that group, so now all 16 sec schools will be having 3rd tier rights from the same supplier.  

I also wonder what legal recourse OU and texsa have if the 12 try to bring in the 4 new members.  All that texsa money could be spent on lawyers to make Bowlby, the conference, and the little 8 all suffer for their move.
