We can poke our chest out about how many wins we have, our pitching staff era, our home runs, etc, but the fact of the matter is our pitching and our bats let us down today. We may win the WCWS but I don’t think so.

Seems like a little bit of a knee jerk reaction. Out of 51 games their bats let them down twice and they didn't play an easy schedule. They played quite a few top 10 teams that have a good chance to make the WCWS. I hardly think that is reason to think they won't win the WCWS now...
Sounds like she is just butt hurt she was beaten out by someone better. You have to know that with a team full of the best at their position you can easily be replaced at any time. She was amazing last year and just couldn't get it together at the beginning of the year so she could have easily stayed and worked through it and gotten better next year to win the starting job. I don't think Gasso is the type of coach that is stubborn with favorites and won't replace anyone that is struggling to better the team. It's hard for me to sympathize with anyone that quits on their team in the middle of the year.

what is your theory? The whole quitting on the team in the middle of the season might have me jaded. I played on a couple of teams in my career that I felt mistreated and didn't get my fair share but I stayed the entire season before looking to make a move.
