So is anyone else getting a bit concerned about the WR room after Cozart's flip? Seemed like that room wasn't awesome even with him committed.
Nope, it's still 6 months until early signing day. With BV's approach in wanting guys to commit that ARE totally committed, guys are going to commit later rather than SOONER, after they have taken their visits, IMO.

No. First, it is May. Second, there is only one dude that will leave after 2022...very young. Third, Cozart is just another body. There are all kinds of Wr out there. Ole Miss and Lebby, and for that matter going back to UCF and further to Baylor (imo) they all scored tons of points with no name Wrs...just sayin.

Yeah, from what I've heard Lebby doesn't have a "type" when it comes to WR's. He seems to like to have a variety of different body styles and capabilities, different tools for different situations.
unless it's like reading the funnies for you, you shouldn't read this kind of crap... amazing how little prepared one NEEDS TO be these days to collect a paycheck

I am not as concerned as a lot of people appear to be. I don't believe Lebby is as restricted to WRs as maybe some other coaches, becasue of his O. We are recruiting more and more "atheletes" that could potentially play WR to get on the field their Freshman years. He is piling up more TE types than he can play, so he can always go big at WR. WR may be the easiest position to get some pretty good kids and plug them into an O.
Would it be good to have a couple of more committed, yea. I think we NEED 6-8 healthy receivers for our O. If we had 10 good WR, then we might be short at other positions. I would rather have a lot of good athletes that I can plug in if needed at WR, than to be short at DL, OL or LB. If someone is not going to stay committed, Cozart gave us enough time to recover. Until last week, people were worried about QB. Now we are talking about some that were already on campus may NEED to find the portal.
But I readily admit, a) I don't know much b) I am naturally not a worrier.

Cozart wants to be a college pro. He can play in the Soft-12 with poor teams and poorer defenses. He might get some publicity, will get some money, won't get tough.

bottom line for me, as with all of these kids, is that if they don't want to be here, i don't want them here eroding the chemistry. better to find out now vs later

I think he grew up out there and that is his dream school. Committing to OU when he knows our policy tells a little about his character when he didn't really have it shut down

Great points. I had zero concern level prior to his flip, but went up a couple of ticks with that move. Seems like that is the one area where we don't see much movement right now, but the portal will continue to be kind in that regard.
Heads up. If you have State Farm, like me, you might want to check into this. Already sent to my rep in Topeka and to State Farm corporate for comment.
